What if

choosing happiness courage creativity faith fear freedom potential trust

Anxiety and possibility are closely related. Both use the imagination, and both can be identified by one question:

What if...?

The difference between anxiety and possibility, then, is what the What if question is combined with.

What if + fear = anxiety (what if the stove catches on fire)
What if + hate = anxiety (what if those idiots ruin everything?)
What if + doubt = anxiety (what if it's not true and all of this is for nothing?)
What if + comparison = anxiety (what if that mom has it all figured out and my kids are doomed?)

What if + hope = possibility (what if things can actually improve?)
What if + love = possibility (what if she's actually trying to help me?)
What if + faith = possibility (what if God knows exactly what He's doing, and I have His full support?)
What if + curiosity = possibility (what if they're doing the best with what they have?)

There are many more potential combinations available, and we get to decide where we want that What if to take us (FYI the default is anxiety, so if you want something different you have to make the conscious choice).

Which one will get air time in your brain?

You are worthy of every possibility.
