Demanding the summit view

courage faith god

We don't get to demand to see the valley from the summit just because we're worthy of witnessing the grandest views. That's not how God works.

God wants the grandest views for us. He knows the simultaneous peace and exhilaration this experience brings.

He also knows what it takes to get there: one foot in front of the other. Step after step, around switchbacks, through muddy patches, under sharp branches, over fallen trunks (or, I guess you could do it by helicopter or mule or a really good ATV. I digress).

No matter the method of transportation, we have  to do the work to get there. Not because God hates us and always wants to be on top, but because of the growth we go through in the process. We become different people through the climb. As a loving Father, He would never rob us of that.
