Shine in your unique way

choosing happiness courage freedom joy

I had the privilege of watching some dear friends perform in a community theater musical last night. The show (Guys & Dolls, Sr. Edition) was adorable and entertaining, but what I loved most about it was how each person on stage shared their own unique personality. There was no "one right way" to be on that stage, and -- in fact --  the show was that much better because no two people acted the same.

This is a great reminder of the old Scottish phrase, "What e'er thou art, act well thy part." (John Allan, Architect, quoted by David O. McKay)

Living takes valuable energy; might as well spend it having fun shining as you rather than a dimmer version of your fellow actors.

This is freedom.
