Let it be heavy

faith jesus peace

Loss hurts.

We don’t have to gloss over it just to make it look like it doesn’t.

When we lose a meaningful connection—when life as we know it ends—our world changes.

We have to adjust.

This takes time and space.

Give it what it needs.

Let it be heavy.

Lean on the rock of Jesus Christ. Cry on His shoulder.

During His ministry, yes— He healed wounds and relieved sorrows. But He first met people where they were. He didn’t rush to pull them up. He crouched down to their eye level. He sat with them.

Hearts heal, but it takes time.

We’re children, who sometimes just need to be held. We’re not expected to automatically be okay, regardless of pain and heartache (in fact, it raises concerns if this is the case).

Be held. Then you can be healed.
