Is "the perfect" holding "the good" hostage?

Voltaire famously once said (in French, I'm guessing), "The perfect is the enemy of the good."

I've been thinking a lot about that lately, with life seeming to hit both a crescendo and accelerando (music tech terms) at the same time.

I think it's important to remember that "enough" counts. Good enough doesn't have to be squashed under the tyranny of perfection.

Let's roll up our sleeves, put perfection in time out, and get some "good" on.
