Oh. Right. This is actually FUN!

I'm immersed in a creative project right now that has been on my heart for over 5 years now.
I've chipped away at it little bits at a time, with some progress made but not much.
It sat dormant while other priorities flowed in (new baby, amazing but rigorous school program, global pandemic, helping to support our family through moves, job changes, etc.), but it has been there the whole time.
I few months ago I felt an undeniable call to pull it back out and finish it, finally getting it out fully into the world where it can really serve people in a huge way. I was -- in no way due to coincidence -- introduced to the exact tools and technology I needed to make it happen, and Chris and I decided there was no way we could ignore this.
I've been plugging away (with Chris's amazing support and encouragement), and I'll admit I fell into "chore mode" with it. It was on my "have to" list, rather than my "get to" list. I still felt hugely inspired to do it, but the potential for impact made it feel very heavy. As a result, I was approaching it as drudgery.
It dawned on me during a conversation with my dad this weekend that I can actually shift my mindset and go about this from a much more energized place of divine privilege. God is inviting me to do this, rather than ordering me to. (Thanks again, Dad!)
That shift made a huge difference for me today, and I was able to knock out a key task that had been on my list for weeks. As I was working on it I noticed this feeling of incredible delight and creative partnership -- like I was almost finger painting or splashing in puddles with the Spirit as ideas and thoughts would come in. It was so FUN. And I'm thrilled with the result.
I can't wait to show it to you. Beta launch will be June 30, so if you feel interested in learning more, please drop me a message and I'll share the link.
In the meantime, the fun continues! Creating with purpose is a glorious privilege we all have access to if we'll accept it.
