Delete and report junk

choosing happiness courage fear personal growth

It's been quite the week of spam and awfulness on my phone.

New, very sneaky tactics are trying to use tragedy and emotion to prompt link clicks. Some of these messages seem so legitimate, and then a beat to think and step back allows wisdom to whisper, "False."

At closer glance, I can see that paying attention to the false messages and clicking the links are not the only option. There's another one -- a tiny invitation in much smaller print:

"Delete and report junk."

I don't have to text the person back and tell them to go away. I don't have to "dislike" their message. I can simply refuse to engage, and click the tiny blue letters below the fear and the noise.

If there are thoughts in your mind or messages that are bothering you, pause and let wisdom weigh in. Then have the courage to scroll on by until you find the "still, small" invitation to delete. Doing so will let Peace flow back in, and new strength will fill your heart.
