Slow dancing strategy

choosing happiness courage enough freedom

If you're on the dance floor and you want to dance a slow song, you have options:

  1. Stand there and hope someone asks you
  2. Leave the room and prevent possible heartbreak altogether
  3. Find someone and ask them.

Strategy #1 works sometimes.
Strategy #2 works every time, but toward a totally different goal, because the goal of avoiding heartbreak overrides the goal of dancing the slow song.
Strategy #3 isn't guaranteed to work the first time, but chances of reaching your goal are greatest with this strategy. You'll need courage, but the time and energy you save is worth the tradeoff.

Each strategy requires effort. It's where we choose to focus our effort that brings results -- either positive or negative.

We get to choose. There's plenty available for us if we pick the courageous + direct path of focused action.
