Bull butter.

My family's been on a Duck Dynasty kick lately (such a fun, wholesome show if you're looking for something to enjoy all together), and in one of the episodes, Jase said a new phrase that I've enthusiastically incorporated into my vocabulary.
Bull butter.
It's the same thing as saying "bull crap," or "bull sh**"... just in a more creative and less vulgar way. I love it.
The reason why I love it so much is it's the perfect answer to so many of the thoughts that rush into our heads when we're up to something new.
"I'm not smart enough."
...Bull butter.
"I felt inspired to do _____, but people are already doing it so there's no room for me."
...Bull butter.
"No one wants to hear from me anyway."
...Bull butter.
"I'm too old."
...Bull butter.
"I'm too young."
...Bull butter.
"I'm going to embarrass my kids and ruin their lives."
...Bull butter.
"I don't belong here."
...Bull butter.
See how versatile it is!? You could say it's the little black (well...brown) dress of courage and freedom.
It works as an answer to every one of them. Because the truth is:
You are smart enough.
There is plenty of room for you.
There are people out there who are desperate to hear what you have learned because they're experiencing the pain of going through it right now.
Your age brings unique wisdom and perspective.
Your youth brings curiosity and energy.
Your kids are resilient, and it's actually really healthy for them to see you try new things. You absolutely belong here.
You are enough.
Any thoughts to the contrary? Bull butter.
